Information about Iguazu Falls

iguazu falls tour
Iguazu Falls
are considered as one of the main world’s natural shows.

The original inhabitants (guaranies) called them Iguazu, which means “Big Waters”.

The falls are shared between Argentina and Brazil, as the Iguazu River is at the border of these two countries. Iguazu Falls are protected, on both sides of this border, by national parks.

The area is surrounded by an ebullient forest, in one of the most biodiverse regions in South America. The visit to the falls start at the city of Puerto Iguazu (Argentina) and Foz do Iguaçú (Brazil). This area is known as the “Three Borders Landmark” because it is where the Iguazu River joins the Parana River (at the border for Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil).
